I've had a very kind offer of free hosting but I still think it's the wrong option. If I could import to Tumblr I would. Photografr would fit in very nicely with that community. In the mean time, I'll be sticking with Wordpress.

Re: Wordpress Woes

I'm pretty happy with WordPress.com, and moved my wife's blog to it (ligiapop.com). If only they had more templates, and struck a happy medium between their free blog offerings and their paid blog offerings, which run upwards of $500/month, I'd also move my own site to them. Granted, I'm none too happy about you not being warned when the points ran out.

Take it from me, self-hosted can be a real pain in the rear, particularly when the traffic starts to increase but income from ads doesn't. That's when you get stuck with hefty bills because you need to move up from the cheap hosting plans.

Re: Wordpress Woes

Goes without saying you can host for free on my server if you want ... a banner or similar is all I ask :-)

Re: Doctor FriendFeed or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Flow

I hear you Chris. I'm still having issues with Friendfeed, but have found it more manageable since I removed everyone from my Home feed and have started adding users to lists and check those when I have time. I've put a few people who are relatively active on the site into my home feed and it seems to have worked as that is more interesting to me now.

Re: Is Photobox on it’s Knees?

same experience here, I used then extensively in the past but now its such poor service look elsewhere.
